Ten days ago, I was in a restaurant and had to ask someone to 'schooch' over a bit so that I could get back to my seat. This person lifted his chair while he was still sitting and then the leg of his chair landed smack on the top of my foot, with him still in the chair. It landed just at the tip of the 4th & 5th metatarsals. Yeee-ooouuuccchhh!! I saw stars. Nothing was broken, but I had a hematoma about the size of a quarter right over the spot where the leg of the chair landed, and severe bruising. For the amount of bruising I had, I was really amazed at how little pain I had. I was able to walk normally in 2 days. I still have bruising, however it has spread out a bit, and is up into my toes and over a larger portion of my foot. The hematoma is gone. My problem now is that I am having numbness of my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th toes. |
