Seismoid bone

I have a pathological fracture of the seismoid bone. I was in a cast for 3 weeks. It was removed today and the area is still swollen and tender. My podiatrist put me in a removable cast and continues to keep me NWB on my right foot. How long does it take to heal? Any suggestions?
