Soft corns are caused by underlying bony overgrowths on the bones in the toes. I NEVER recommend using salicylic acid plasters on the feet. I have seen too many resulting problems from this. Wearing shoes that do not give the foot room will surely add to this problem. If you start out the day and your shoes are ok, but your feet swell as the day goes on, that might be a problem.
You should see a podiatrist for an evaluation.
