maybe a pulled ligament??? help!

I have not been very active for the past few years and have gained a lot of weight. Recently I started a diet and began exercising everyday. Friday as I was doing a plyomentrics (step, step, jump) I felt something in the bottom of my foot pop. I think I even heard it pop. I didnt step on anything, so I'm not sure what happened. I could not walk hardly at all the next day, and now 3 days later it's getting better, I'm walking atleast but it's bruising pretty ugly. When it first happened the pain was from the ball of my foot to my heel, and it only hurt when I stepped on it. Now the pain is concentrated on my heel. Does anyone know what I might have done???
