Re: side of foot lump

This is difficult to answer as I have not examined your foot. If you are describing the base of the 5th metatarsal, it could have several answers ranging from a fracture, tendonitis, irritation in the shoe.

I recommend you see a podiatrist for further evaluation. To see is to know, not to see is to guess.
