Re: screws in foot

Hi Lori,

I had a cheilectomy osteotomy with 2 screws in March. I had swelling and pain near the site of the screws which would not go away, so 2 weeks ago I had the screws out. It was another surgery, with the velcro boot., but much less swelling than before, and no real pain. I've already noticed that the swelling that I had on the top of my foot is non-existent. Time will tell if if your screws need to come out. 7 weeks is still too early, I think. I really didn't notice mine until month 4.
