Re: fracture of 5th Metetarsal - How to reduce swelling

Did you get it cssted? Are you walking on it?

I broke mine on May 5 and have been non-weight bearing since ... and it still swells on days I am up and about a lot ... but it swelled a lot every day when I had a below the knee cast .. now I have a removable boot and brace and swelling isn't nearly as bad ...

good luck with healing ... be patient and do what your doctor says ... treatments for fracturing this bone vary a LOT depending on where and how the fracture occured ...
