sesamoid screw

Dr.,

I just saw a different doctor regarding my sesamoid fracture. He is an orthopeadic surgeon who specializes in feet and ankles.

He is taking a different approach to me sesamoid fracture. Instead of removing the bone he is going to pinch the two pieces together and insert a screw.

Do you know anything about this procedure?
