Re: Heel pain

This condition usually is self limiting. When the growth plate closes at around age 14, then it usually subsides. When there is a continued problem, there may be other factors involved, such as a short achilles tendon. In addition to heel cushions, an orthotic may be needed.

Since I have not seen him or the x-rays and taken comparision views of the other foot, I can not comment on the fractures. Rest may be the best thing at this point.
