Re: Broken 5th metatarsal

I too broke my 5th metatarsal. Be careful to stay off it as much as possible. I was but in a small ankle walking boot and when I went back for my follow up appointment 4 weeks later, the break was worse then it was initially. Now I have a larger boot and crutches for the next 4 weeks. If it doesn't heal on its own, I will have to have surgery. Good luck and feel better soon.
