Re: Treatment for Pterygium Inversum Unguis

I suffer from this condition as well but never knew what it was! When I was in High School, I went to a podiatrist for an ingrown toenail treatment. I asked him about the problem and he said "I'll take care of it". He basically took a long thin stick, dipped it into a dark gel pushed the growths down. It was PAINFUL -- and only lasted around 6 months before the growths came back. Last year I went to a dermatologist for a plantars wart and asked him about the condition and he said he has no idea what it is. A treatment would be great, if anyone has one. The condition used to be only on my smaller toes but seems to have spread to my bigger ones. I would love to stop cutting my toes in a 'V' shape. It tears my socks:-)
